Glen Childers
Glen F. Childers
Principal / Architect

Glen obtained his formal education at Ada Public Schools and East Central University in Ada, Oklahoma. He was granted license to practice Architecture by the State of Oklahoma in 1971. Glen was an associate and later a partner in another Architectural firm from 1962 to 1979, the year he established GLEN CHILDERS, ARCHITECT. Glen has gained a vast and varied experience in his practice of Architecture relating to educational, medical, commercial, religious, governmental and single and multi-family housing construction varying in budget size from a few thousand dollars to multi-million dollar projects.

Glen was selected as Outstanding Young Oklahoman in 1972; past member of the Board of Cirectors of Home Federal Savings and Loan Association of Ada; past Chairman of Forward Ada Authority; past member of the Board of Directors of Kiwanis Club of Greater Ada; past First Vice President of Ada Chamber of Commerce; past Session Member of First Presbyterian Church; member of the Ada Airport and Aviation Committee of the Chamber of Commerce; past President of the Ada Aviation Association; past member of East Central Alumni Association Board of Directors; and past member of Advisory Board for Drafting and Design to the Pontotoc County Skill Center. Glen is also a licensed private pilot.

Don Childers
Don R. Childers
Principal / Architect

Don received his education at Ada Public Schools, Southwest Technical Institute and Oklahoma State Technical School in Oklahoma City. He was granted license to practice Architecture in the state of Oklahoma in 1972. From 1963 to 1983, Don was an associate and later, a partner in the Architectural-Engineering firm of NICEK-CHILDERS-SHERMAN AND ASSOCIATES, INC., Oklahoma City, Oklahoma where Don was primarily responsible for design, production and construction observation of commercial, industrial, multi-family residential, educational, governmental, religious and medical facilities, both for new and renovation projects. Project scope varied in budgets over $7 million in both single story and high rise structures. Don returned to Ada in 1983 to join with his brother Glen in forming CHILDERS-CHILDERS, ARCHITECTS & ASSOCIATES, P.C.

Don is Chairman of the City of Ada Airport Commission, former member of Advisory Board for the Salvation Army, former member of Advisory Board for Drafting and Design at the Pontotoc County Skill Center, member of the Leadership Ada Alumni Association and Chairman for the 2004 thru 2010 AdaAirExpo. He Serves as Vice-President of the Ada Aircraft Association, past President, present Board Member and Melvin Jones Fellow of the Lion's Club of Ada and served on the Building and Grounds Committee of the First Presbyterian Church. Don is also a licensed private pilot.

Tim Elliott
Timothy M. Elliott
Principal / Architect

Tim graduated with a Bachelor of Architecture degree from the University of Oklahoma in 1999. He interned at Frankfurt Short Bruza Architects Engineers Planners, Oklahoma City before working 7 years at Architects In Partnership, Norman, Oklahoma. Tim joined Childers-Childers Architects & Associates in 2003 and established Redland Architects in 2006 focused on Native American projects. Tim has over 13 years of architectural experience which includes project administration and production, programming, schematic design, design development, specification writing, project tracking, contract negotiations, construction documents and construction adminstration.

Tim is a licensed Architect in Oklahoma, Texas, and Alabama and a licensed Interior Designer in Oklahoma. He is a Citizen of the Chickasaw Nation, Member of the American Institute of Architects, National Council of Architectural registration Boards, Ada Rotary Club Board, Science & Natural Resource Foundation Board, Ada Boys & Girls Club Board, Ada First Presbyterian Church Session, and Oklahoma Historic Preservation Architect.

Kim Prater
Kimberly S. Prater
Principal / Administrative Coordinator

Kim received her Bachelor of Business Administration degree from East Central University in 1996. She has utilized her education and gained experience while working as an Administrative/Accounting employee with three other firms. Kim is responsible for day-to-day business related activities of the Firm as well as the development of technical project manual and specifications. Other responsibilities include the coordination of construction contracts, verification of Bidders Qualifications, bond and insurance compliance, assurance of required reporting documents, verifying Contractor weekly payroll reports and processing Contractor’s “Claim for Payments”. She is a member of the Board of Directors for the Ada Kiwanis Club and active in the local Little League Baseball program.

All projects conducted by this office will be administered by Kim in some capacity.

Forrest Neal
Forrest J. Neal
Principal / Project Manager

Forrest obtained his formal education at Ada High School and attended Texas Community College in Frisco two (2) years with an emphasis on drafting and earned a CADD drafting certificate from Pontotoc County Vo-Tech. He joined Childers-Childers Architects & Associates in 1998 and has been approved to take the Architectural Registration Exam in Missouri. As project coordinator, his responsibilities also entail the coordination of Pre-Bid Conferences, receipt and tabulation of competitive bids, holding Pre-Work Conference and scheduled project visits for surveillance during construction. He is a Board Member of the Ada Lions Club and First United Methodist Church.

Thomas Williams
Thomas A. Williams
CADD Technician / Web-Designer

Thomas earned his CADD (Drafting Tech) certificate through the Pontotoc Technology Center, in September, 2003. He has also completed course work from OSU-Okmulgee Technology Center. He has four years of experience with AutoCAD in preparing construction drawings, and two years of web design experience with Adobe® Dreamweaver® software.

Thomas is a member of First Baptist Church, and has been working with the church's media team since 2008, where he does Post Production video work for the weekly Sunday services.

Glen Childers
Spencer J. Truitt
CADD Technician

Spencer J. Truitt received his drafting certificate from Kiamichi Technology Center in 1998. He has eleven years of AutoCAD experience with specialization in 3D modeling. Spencer’s responsibilities include preparing Construction Drawings and 3D modeling/rendering as promotional drawings for the firm.
